leadership style
When it comes to my leadership style I identify myself with being a coach. I have served as a mentor in multiple organizations throughout college and enjoy being able to empower individuals and be someone they can easily come to and count on. I like to offer guidance as opposed to giving demands and find it beneficial to learn from others. Taking one on one time with employees and developing a meaningful relationship is also something that I find very rewarding and important.
LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
I believe in actively including all members of my team on complex decisions. I find it to be helpful in the decision making process to hear others thoughts because they are likely to come up with something you would not have thought of alone. Additionally, it makes the employees feel valued to be able to help with major decisions that are likely to affect them and their work. It is important that the individuals I include in the decision making process are knowledgeable and have experience in the field of the situation. This is perfect for me because I enjoy surrounding myself with people that challenge my ideas and allow me to continuously be learning from them.
How i lead others globally
When entering the global realm I find it important to continue to stick to my values and play to my strengths. Overall, I would stand by my previously stated styles and philosophies, but I would adapt them to fit the environment in which I am working in. I will begin by researching the country with which I will be working. By gaining an understanding of their history, culture, business practices, and social atmosphere I will be able to work effectively. This will likely lead to less misunderstandings and tension about differences. It would be my goal that both parties leave feeling satisfied with their work and have a positive impact on each other.
